It is generally believed that the color of blood is red, but there are many creatures in this world whose blood color is not red. Their blood color is red, yellow, blue and yellow. 


Colors of blood: There are many different types of surprises in this world of creatures. One such wonder is the different color of blood. There are many animals whose blood color is different. Today we talk about this, in which animals different colored blood is found. 

The color of the blood of these creatures is red. 

The animals which have a spinal cord, ie vertebrates, have a red color of their blood. This blood contains hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is a type of protein that keeps running in the blood. Hemoglobin consists of ham which contains iron. Due to this iron, the color of blood is red. The color of blood is also red when oxygen is mixed in it. 


Due to copper, these creatures get blue color 

, more blue blood is found in sea creatures. Blue blood is found in octopuses, squid, mollusks, crustaceans and spiders. The reason for this is hemocyanin present in the blood. Hemocyanin contains copper. When this blood is in the body, it has no color, but when oxygen is mixed in it, it turns blue due to the effect of copper. 


Leech has green blood 

Green blood is found in the body of such creatures which are very small. Such as fragmented body worms, earthworms, leeches and sea earthworms. Chlorocruorin is found in their blood. It looks light green until oxygen is available. As soon as it gets oxygen, its color becomes dark green. 



The blood of sea worms is purple. The blood of sea worms named as purple  peanut worm is purple. 


This is due to the presence of the protein hemerythrin found in their blood.

 When this protein mixes with oxygen, its color becomes purple, otherwise the color of the blood remains transparent.


There is also yellow blood. 

The blood of a sea creature called Cucumber is yellow in color.

 The blood of this organism of Holothuroidea species contains an element called hemocyanin which acts like our hemoglobin. That is, maintaining the flow of oxygen in the blood.
